House of Sol — Where Heritage Meets Modern Mastery.

In the heart of Piper Street, Kyneton, Victoria, stands the House of Sol—a testament to our commitment to preserving history while crafting modern elegance.

Originally built in the 1860s as Mrs. Coghlan's Retail Grocery, this iconic building has undergone a complete renovation, meticulously transformed into a house-hotel. Throughout this extensive project, we honoured the building's historic charm while seamlessly integrating contemporary sophistication.

The scope of the project included carefully retaining and restoring key architectural elements, such as the original bluestone façade, to honour the building's rich heritage; reinforcing the building’s structure to ensure longevity while maintaining the integrity of the original design; integrating modern amenities and state-of-the-art systems to ensure comfort and convenience without compromising the historical aesthetic; and infusing the interiors with contemporary Australian design, blending robust materials with timeless elegance, which included the installation of high-quality finishes and artistic elements that reflect the client’s vision.
